Active Covid cases cross 3,000 mark in India:

 NEW DELHI: The number of active Covid-19 cases in the country crossed the 3,000 mark on Saturday, with Kerala having 1,336 active cases, the highest in the country followed by Maharashtra and Delhi.

According to the Union health ministry's data, four deaths - one each in Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh have been reported in the last 24 hours across the country so far.



Meanwhile, the official sources stated that Covid-19 situation in India is being closely monitored while stressing that the severity of infections is low, with most of the patients being under home care and that there was no cause for worry.There were a total of 257 active patients in the country on May 22. The figure rose to 1,010 by May 26 and today has added up to 3,395 within 10 days. In the last 24 hours, 685 new cases have been reported, and four people have died.
